The Victorian Inn is well appointed with Victorian architecture, antiques, and is located right in the historical district of Alderson with a view of the Greenbrier River.The breakfast is exceptional and the room appointments are among the best I have experienced. It has to rank among the best in the area and is well worth the 12 mile ride from Lewisburg. Judy and Doris are exceptional Inn Keepers and do everything they can to make your stay a memorable experience. I give it the highest rating. You will not regret staying at the Victorian Inn.
If visiting a bed and breakfast all decorated for a Victorian Christmas gets you in the holiday mood, this is your place! Every inch of the inn is bedecked in holiday finery and Judy is happy to point out touches you might have missed. We stumbled upon The Old Victorian Inn while dodging the snow on a trip from Michigan to Virginia and we're so glad we did. The food was plentiful, the surroundings gorgeous and Judy was very gracious. The room was large and quite well priced, less than the chain places in Beckley and so much more beautiful. The trains going by do seem a bit loud but they did not disturb our sleep and we enjoyed the quaint shops and cute train station. This place is a real holiday find!

If you love trains and Victorian homes this is the B&B for you. Doris is an expert on Alderson history and the breakfast can't be beat. The rooms are large and conformable. It is like traveling back to the turn of the century. The Amtrac Station is just across the street and it also serves as a museum.
